White WineAbout White Wine .
White wine is often considered as being colorless because there’s no contact with the pulp during preparation. But that’s not completely right. The color of white wine is hard to discern because the spectrum lies primarly in the ultraviolette area. The color we do see ranges from pale green to a golden yellow. Light white wine with a sour accent often contains less than 12% alcohol. This type of wine has a fruity flavor .Some examples are: Vinho Verde, Muscadet, Anjou,Sancerre, Rias Baixas, Entre-Deux-Mers, Marlborough Sauvignon, Alsace wines and Mosel wines. Mature, full white wine has a rich structure, sweet taste and gives a warm feeling. This type of wine contains13 to 14% alcohol, and the aroma is one of exotic fruit. Some wines are Corton, Charlemagne, Meusault, Puligny-Montrachet, Graves and Limoux and can be enjoyed with creamy dishes.
An intensive-aromatic,
full white wine such as Gewürztraminer,
Muscadet d’Alsace and Condrieu have amazing aromas of fruit, jasmine,
honeysuckle, rose, honey, cinammon, nutmeg and cloves and are great with
cheese.
